3D Freeform Sketching
The world around you is your canvas with 3D freeform sketching. You can draw on your uploaded 3D images and create beautiful illustrations in the space around you. Drawing is limitless and it is a great tool for annotating your ideas on projects.
Bonus: Sketches you create on or near 3D images will stay with the object when you move it.
Visible & persistent mini avatar
No more will you have to search the content menu for the mirror to see what your avatar looks like. We've released a mini avatar that will live in the lower right hand of your view. You'll be able to see yourself while your avatar mimics your movement.
Laser pointer interacts with all objects
If you're a power user, you've noticed the release of the laser which allows you to interact with 3D objects. Your laser will now interact with all objects in Spatial. Plus, we've added labels so you'll know who is grabbing a post-it or moving the screen share!
Features specific to HoloLens 2
Avatar eye-tracking
Avatar eye-tracking now tracks eye movement. That means you'll be able to tell if someone is looking left & right, and up & down. Just like real life!
Ability to grab virtual objects
Near interaction and full-hand tracking will now give you the ability to grab virtual objects with your hands. Use one hand or both!
Digital handshake + articulated hand tracking
This feature ups the game for avatar expression and allows you to shake hands in AR. When you're talking, people will be able to see your hand gestures, allowing your true self to come to life with fully articulated hand tracking -- it really enhances brainstorming, planning, or coming together for a presentation.
