Text Chat
Text chat is an alternative to voice chat. Communicate with Spatians in the space you are in by typing messages to one another. FAQ at the end.
💬 Messages you send will appear above your head for others to see.
🗑️ You can delete any message that you send.
🚫If you are the space owner, you can block/ban from the chat thread. Banning someone from the chat bans them from the space.
🙈Click the chat button to show/hide the chat thread for yourself.
🗣️Hosts can toggle chat via Settings>Participant Chat toggle
FAQ
Q: Can I direct message someone?
A: Currently this cannot be done.
Q: Can I '@' someone in the chat?
A: You can't @ someone in the chat.
Q: Does chat work across all instances if I have the Overflow Groups feature turned on?
A: Yes. If you have overflow groups turned on, everyone that joins the space will see the same chat no matter what instance the are in.
Q: Can I send URLs in the chat?
A: Yes. You can send URLs in the chat. As always, be careful when clicking on any links that you are not familiar with.
